Xu bu
- We shift our weight to the right leg, into a gong bu stance.
- Both arms are shifted, forming a line together.
- We shift the weight back, and turn the right slightly to the right (45degrees)
- We step with the left leg forward, while we block with the right hand to the right side, in front of the face.
- The left hand follows the left leg, in a circular movement.
- We end up in the Xu bu stance.
In this stance, we place all the weight on the back leg. Xu bu is called the “cat” stance.
