Xu bu

  1. We shift our weight to the right leg, into a gong bu stance.
  2. Both arms are shifted, forming a line together.
  3. We shift the weight back, and turn the right slightly to the right (45degrees)
  4. We step with the left leg forward, while we block with the right hand to the right side, in front of the face.
  5. The left hand follows the left leg, in a circular movement.
  6. We end up in the Xu bu stance.
Xu bu (cat stance)

In this stance, we place all the weight on the back leg. Xu bu is called the “cat” stance.
